pagan zines?
Lately, I’ve been looking for pagan/wiccan zines, but I haven’t found many. Maybe that’s because there are so many websites, forums, magazines, and books already devoted to the subject. Yet other topics like food, crafts, and music have multiple zines about them and just as much presence on the internet.
Does the zine community need a pagan zine or is there a reason why there hasn’t been that many (that I could find)?
I’m interested in creating a pagan comp zine with articles, interviews, and reviews from different people focusing on many different topics. If you interested please leave a comment.

The best-known pagan zine I’ve found is the Beltane Papers. I also recently discovered the Heathen zine Hex Magazine.
And isn’t the Witches’ Voice sort of a Pagan zine? *grin*
I think there aren’t a lot of Pagan zines out there because a lot of Pagans are creative types, and a lot of creative types are poor. *grin* Also, the audience is fairly small. Get too specialized in a zine and there won’t be a big enough audience. Same with really eclectic zines.
Other specialized topics like gardening and food are cross-cultural and appeal to a much wider audience. Christian magazines also have a much larger audience.
For instance, how many Muslim and Jewish zines do you know of? Not many.
Though if you did want to start one, I’d read it.

Back in the 90s, there was a plethora of Pagan zines, but they seem to have mostly disappeared.
