Ecclectic Vs. Tradition
For a while now I’ve been trying to decide if I’m really happy with being an ecclectic Wiccan. Since I’m a solitary I haven’t been around many other traditions, except my brief stint with an Ara based group last spring. Although I love the freedom of being an eccletic I miss the ritual and certainty of Catholicism in which I was raised. So with this slight dissatisfaction I’ve started researching traditions that I’d be interested in working with.
In the 11th grade I bought a book called Evolutionary Witchcraft by T. Thorn Coyle which goes over the basics of the Feri Tradition. In the 11th grade I had only been practicing for two years and in my opinion I was too inexperienced and two young to fully grasp the teachings. But now that I’m looking for a tradition I’m starting to research the Feri Tradition once again (as well as Ara) and seeing the possibilities that they hold.
Shortly I’ll begin writing about my experiences working with Evolutionary Witchcraft, posing questions, and reflecting on any progress that I make.
Wish me luck!
